Wishful thinking.
We will wake up to the sound of the church bells. You'll greet me with that tone that makes special days special. I'll make us coffee and you'll say yours is too bland. I will not wear nice clothes for the first time. I will put on my most comfortable house clothes and so will you. We will make a call. We'll show her all our nice new clothes and good food. We will pig out on everything we crave for. And then watch TV until we fall asleep. And we'll wake up and feast on our left-overs. And we'll be oblivious of the celebration of the world outside. We will be free of worries, just plainly, purely happy. We'll be grateful to be alive and praising God for our lives He's turned around. And the day will just stretch out like that. And it will be the perfect Christmas.
