That is the way of the world.

It is a surprise sometimes to realise how differently the world thinks, how it deals with and prepares for the disappointments life has in store, how in such preparation it pulls down bars set high, tries to be content in what little satisfaction it can get. It is a surprise how in unexpected times you have to guard yourself from the world's thinking and ways, how you have to remind yourself to keep faith in a good God when people just tell you to swallow the bad things. It is a surprise how boldly you need to speak out your faith when people pressure and question and insist. But at the end of the day what a blessing it is to have a hope beyond what the world can give and expect. Amazing how brand new life can be with Jesus.
